Once again the Southern Area BMFA were supported by the Chesil Flying Group at the Bovington Tank Museum Model Show. This is normally both a static model stand with a flying display but sadly storm “Dennis” put paid to the flying side of things.
The show went very well, the stand being adorned with many very nice examples model aircraft. The flight simulator shown this year on a very large screen courtesy of the museum, went down very well with the many of the visitors. The museum had attracted over 3000 visitors this year, all of whom had to pass our stand due to it’s very favourable position. The only down side of the event being felt by those who stayed the weekend in their caravans in what was ghastly weather. Our thanks go to those that made the effort.
